Board of Directors

The Natural Food Co-op's governance is overseen by a Board of Directors that consists of seven NFC owners who are elected by the ownership.

The Board has three main responsibilities:

• Make sure the co-op is being well managed.
• Serve as stewards for the owners.
• Establish future goals and create plans for the long term.

To meet these obligations, the Board of Directors concentrates on four main areas:

• Recruitment
• Budget management
• Strategic goal setting for the future
• Attracting new Director candidates

Directors adhere to the Code of Ethics and Conduct while overseeing elections and suggesting revisions to the Articles and Bylaws, which outline and direct the co-op's operations. Their primary responsibility is to safeguard the co-op's overall interests in response to evolving business conditions, leading to potential changes in policies and practices within the organization.
